I just read the companion book/sequel to "Holes" by Louis Sachar, called "Small Steps." I think you all would love it! It follows Armpit and Xray after Camp Green Lake as they try to take "small steps" to make their lives successful. Once again, the story intertwines different story lines and clever characters and it all ties together in the end. I think so many of you would like it, but I won't read it aloud for two reasons: 1) There is some mature content and 2) Sequels should never be read-alouds. So if anyone would like to borrow it you can check it out from me. P.S. No Stanley and Zero are not main characters, but there still is some hole-digging and unlikely heroes!

I've just finished a very, well not so happy book called "The Reptile Room." It's good, but like Lemony Snicket says "if you're looking for a book with a happy ending you should just close this book." But I kept reading. Now if you have read this book I am thinking of opening up to "The Wide Window."

Recently, i read a book called Hope Was Here. It is a fabulous story about a girl who's mom left her and gave her to a good friend. She grows up and knows that she has a different mom who named her Tulip. She hates the name and legally changes it to Hope. But responsibility and power lurk in the name. She may have moved many times and it may have seemed like she might have to leave all friends behind, but her new city is her favorite. She has much hope inside her that her boss will be voted mayor. But she loses that hope when she finds out about her good friend, who helps her boss, gets mugged and beaten and has many bones broken. When her so called gaurd mom goes on a date with her boss, she gets freaked out. About a year later her guardian gets married to her boss and they live happily ever after. Or do they? In two grand years her new father dies! She has less hope then but she goes to college and has more hope than ever before.

hey guys hope you've been reading!I've been reading the series of unfortunate events books and i really reccomend them to you! even though lemony snicket says not to read them. i know he is joking since they are fiction books and i really realy like them and i got the 10th book The Slippery Slope and i have not read all of them. The good thing is though that i know pretty much what goes on if i haven't read all of them because Lemony explains what happens in the book before. Bye see you all next time and hope you post more!
